Little Birdy

Little Birdy is an Australian indie rock band formed in Perth, Western Australia, in 2002. The band originally consisted of vocalist and guitarist Katy Steele, guitarist and keyboardist Simon Leach, bassist Scott O'Donoghue, and drummer Matt Chequer. Known for their catchy melodies, energetic performances, and heartfelt lyrics, Little Birdy quickly gained a loyal following in the Australian music scene.

Little Birdy's debut album, "BigBigLove" (2004), received widespread critical acclaim and established the band as one of Australia's most promising new acts. The album featured hit singles such as "Beautiful to Me" and "Relapse", which showcased the band's infectious blend of indie rock, pop, and alternative influences. "BigBigLove" earned Little Birdy several ARIA Award nominations, including Best Breakthrough Artist and Best Rock Album.

Following the success of their debut album, Little Birdy released two more studio albums: "Hollywood" (2006) and "Confetti" (2009). In 2010, Little Birdy announced an indefinite hiatus, with lead vocalist Katy Steele pursuing a solo career. During the hiatus, Steele released her debut solo album, "Goodnight, Little Moon", in 2011, showcasing her talent as a singer-songwriter. However, in 2016, Little Birdy reunited for a one-off performance at the Fremantle Arts Centre, reigniting speculation about the band's future.
