Double Trouble

Double Trouble was a blues-rock band best known for their collaboration with legendary guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughan. Formed in Austin, Texas, in the late 1970s, the band comprised drummer Chris Layton and bassist Tommy Shannon. They provided the rhythmic foundation for Vaughan's explosive guitar playing, earning acclaim for their tight-knit musical chemistry and dynamic live performances.

The band gained widespread recognition after teaming up with Stevie Ray Vaughan as his backing band, known collectively as "Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble". Their partnership yielded a series of critically acclaimed albums, including "Texas Flood" (1983), "Couldn't Stand the Weather" (1984), and "Soul to Soul" (1985), which showcased their electrifying blend of blues, rock, and soul.

Double Trouble's distinctive sound, characterized by Layton's powerful drumming and Shannon's driving basslines, provided the perfect complement to Vaughan's virtuosic guitar playing.
