Control Machete

Control Machete is a Mexican hip-hop group formed in Monterrey, Nuevo León, in 1996. The trio consists of Fermin IV, Toy Kenobi, and Pato Machete. They are widely regarded as pioneers of Latin American rap and are credited with popularizing hip-hop music in Mexico and beyond.

The group's sound is characterized by its fusion of traditional Mexican music elements with hip-hop beats and socially conscious lyrics. Control Machete's music often addresses issues such as social inequality, political corruption, and urban life, resonating with audiences across Latin America and beyond.

Control Machete gained international recognition with the release of their debut album, "Mucho Barato", in 1997. The album was a critical and commercial success, earning the group multiple awards and nominations, including a Latin Grammy nomination for Best Rock Album.
