Big Pokey

Big Pokey, born Milton Powell, is a prominent rapper hailing from Houston, Texas, and is considered one of the pioneers of the Southern hip-hop scene. He gained prominence in the mid-1990s as a member of the Screwed Up Click, a collective of Houston-based rappers formed by DJ Screw.

He made his mark with his distinctive deep voice, laid-back flow, and gritty storytelling, which resonated with fans of the Houston rap scene. Big Pokey's lyrics often reflect the realities of street life, with themes of struggle, resilience, and survival prevalent in his music.
