Bettie Serveert

Bettie Serveert is a Dutch indie rock band formed in 1991 in Amsterdam, consisting of lead vocalist and guitarist Carol van Dijk, guitarist Peter Visser, drummer Berend Dubbe, and bassist Herman Bunskoeke (who was later replaced by Reimer Eising). The band's name, which translates to "Bettie Serves" in Dutch, was inspired by a Dutch tennis player named Betty Stöve.

Bettie Serveert gained international recognition with the release of their debut album, "Palomine", in 1992. The album received widespread acclaim for its blend of alternative rock, indie pop, and shoegaze influences, as well as van Dijk's distinctive vocals and heartfelt songwriting. Tracks like "Tom Boy" and "Kid's Allright" became indie rock anthems, earning the band a devoted fanbase.
