Bad Lieutenant

Supergroup Formation: Bad Lieutenant was a British alternative rock supergroup formed in 2007 by former New Order member Bernard Sumner. The band also included Phil Cunningham, who had previously played with New Order and Electronic, as well as Jake Evans and Stephen Morris, both of whom had ties to the Manchester music scene.

Debut Album "Never Cry Another Tear": Bad Lieutenant released their debut album, "Never Cry Another Tear", in 2009. The album showcased a blend of electronic and guitar-driven rock sounds, reminiscent of Sumner's work with New Order. Tracks like "Sink or Swim" and "Twist of Fate" featured Sumner's distinctive vocals and songwriting style, while also incorporating modern production techniques and influences.

Post-New Order Project: Bad Lieutenant emerged following the breakup of New Order, which disbanded in 2007.
